How can peptides help me?
Mostly preclinical

Can peptides help me build muscle?

Growth-hormone secretagogues reliably raise GH and IGF-1, but the evidence that this translates into meaningful strength or muscle gain in healthy adults is thin. The better-supported use is preserving lean mass while losing fat.

Who this applies to

Problems people bring to this category

  • Age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia)
  • Lean-mass loss during aggressive weight loss
  • Slow recovery between training sessions
  • Visceral fat with normal body weight

Compounds studied

Peptides used for muscle growth & body composition

Honest reading

What the evidence actually shows

  • GH secretagogues increase IGF-1 in a dose-dependent way; that is a biomarker, not a hypertrophy outcome.
  • Much of the early weight change on GH-axis compounds is water retention, not contractile tissue.
  • Insulin sensitivity can worsen at higher GH exposure, and carpal-tunnel-type symptoms are reported.

Expectation setting

What peptides will not do here

  • It will not substitute for progressive resistance training or adequate protein.
  • It does not produce anabolic-steroid-scale changes in muscle mass.
  • All GH secretagogues are prohibited in tested sport at all times.
